GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: 
The primary function of this position is the safe maintenance of equipment that will ensure continuous production quality and throughput with minimal downtime while working with each department lead. Duties may involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repair of electrical or mechanical equipment; the installation, alignment, and balancing of new equipment; and the repair of buildings, floors, or stairs. These duties can require work performed involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Must work safe, which includes all PPE at all times
 Must abide by all company and federal polices
 Assist employees when needed with the day-to-day operations of the department
 Hold and or attend safety meetings on daily basis
 Responsible and accountable to ensure all assigned duties and tasks are being met
 Work closely with the department Lead to ensure machinery is being repaired when needed  Report to the department Lead workstation condition and operations
 Assist with the unloading of material from trucks when needed and handle all paperwork  Inspection of equipment services and repairs and ensure they are completed to your expectations
 Assist with training if needed and monitor department employees on all daily tasks
 Follow and maintain 6s organization in all areas worked
 Weekly completion and maintenance of the 6s audit boards in every area
 Follow and maintain the daily chore list for each assigned area
 Always look for ways to improve your area, process, and workflow
 Follow Lock Out Tag Out policy guidelines
 Be alert in minor mechanical problems and fix them before they become bigger problems

JOB SPECIFIC:
 Must work safe, which includes all PPE at all times
 Completion of required paperwork and/or data entry
 Maintain the cleanliness of your work area
 Daily cleanup specified by your Lead
 Communication with your Lead throughout your shift
 Any downtime will consist of cleaning first, followed by 6S projects
 Must be willing to cross train in other positions in the production process
 Assist in other departments when needed
 Develop, organize, catalogue, and maintain spare parts inventory
 Must hold valid forklift operator’s license and safely operate forklift during the completion of maintenance tasks  Must complete all reporting procedures accurately
 Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed
 Operate equipment as needed for backup
 Build or fabricate new and special projects as requested
 Document all preventative maintenance forms to complete PMs
 Send emails as a form of communication to each department involved in project or repair  Send end of shift email of completed projects or in-process projects to your lead (daily)
 Any other jobs as directed by your Lead and/or supervisor
 Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.  Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
 Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
 Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
 Information analysis and evaluation of results to choose the best solution and solve problems
