Brief Description
This position requires a pleasant, personable, and positive individual with a bachelor degree and/or 4 years of applicable work experience. It will require the acquisition of a Property & Casualty and within 1 year of employment, a Life & Health Insurance license.

This position will involve 50% prospect & client interface and 50% office organization. This is a full-time position that is expected to require 40 hours per week. An occasional evening or weekend event may be required (3-4 per year). Clear and consistent communication, both written and verbal, is also crucial to the success of this position. A positive, can-do, solutions-oriented attitude is a must. You should have knowledge of all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to navigate a Corporate/Client database and property assessment websites.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Processes incoming prospect inquiries – Quoting auto, home, commercial and umbrella policies for Agent

Ability to source and contacts prospective clients about products & services – this does not include prospects who find their way to our office, this is sourced, nurtured, and sold prospects to clients for commissions in excess of guaranteed salary

Ability to participate in approved Networking Events and other Center of Influence building opportunities, as approved by Owner

Meet with existing clients as needed, policy changes & “one-off” client requests

Coordinate all requests for additional documentation from underwriting that include photos and valuations
-
Lead in client claims experience

Secondary client service support, phone/walk in/email

Maintain continued education for all licenses
-
Attend weekly team meetings
-
Maintains print and electronic records and files as required

Other duties as may be required from time to time
COMPENSATION:
-
You will be paid an annual salary of $35,000
-
In addition to the annual salary, you will receive percentages of 1st year commission on any new business personally produced – based on the grid below. All produced monthly premium amounts reset every 1st of the month.

If Production Assistant holds 10%+ commission rate for one full quarter, PA will be bonused an additional $500

Production Agent will be paid monthly, on the 28th of every month – that monthly payment will include salary and the previous 30 days commission statements.

A SIMPLE IRA retirement plan will be extended to employees at their 6 month employment date. Schofield Insurance and Financial Services will match employee contributions up to 3%.

You will receive two weeks of paid vacation, prorated at start date. No more than 5 full days can be taken at one time, unless approved by management. Vacation days can be taken in half-day or whole day increments. Vacation must be scheduled a minimum of 30 days in advance. In addition, the agency has eight paid holidays. (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & following Friday, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day)

A background check will be done as part of the hiring process

There will be a 30- and 60-day progress review. There will be a 90-day probationary period and full performance review. After 90 days, if performance warrants, there will be annual performance reviews.

Every effort will be taken to help ensure that the Production Agent is successful; however, you are an employee at will. If minimum requirements are not met consistently, a review of work and minimum requirements will be conducted every 30 days for 4 months, for shown improvement or termination.

Our agency is a professional setting; therefore, we do have a dress code.

Business casual: dress pants or slacks, shirts with collars, blouses, tops & sweaters, dresses

Jeans are acceptable daily between the months of October – March, then on Friday’s
