
University Communication Director
The Office of the President at Indiana State University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of University Communication Director. The University Communication Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation and analysis of a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the University’s brand and reputation. The position will oversee, produce and participate in the creation of compelling and effective communication that promotes the University’s mission, goals and achievements to internal and external stakeholders. This includes consistent and effective messaging across all communication channels – local, regional, state-wide, national outlets and social media. The Director will have budget management and supervisory responsibilities.
The Director will provide strategic communication in support of the President on a daily basis including preparing comments, speeches and presentations to advance identified priorities and goals.
The University Communication Director will serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson for the University while establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with members of the media to further advance the University’s position with relevant constituents.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree, possession of a valid driver’s license, and 5 years of professional work in communication, public information, journalism, broadcasting, or related field.
